Under patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, and Prof. Ahmed Helal, Dean of Faculty of Education, and as part of the faculty efforts toward accreditation, the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Education organized a workshop titled:
“Leadership and Governance Standard and Academic Staff and Assistant Staff Standard”
The workshop was held on Monday, July 20th, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Hall (2), Third Educational Building.
The workshop was delivered by Prof. Maysara Al-Aziz, a member of the University Quality Team, with the participation of 29 academic staff and assistant staff.
The workshop addressed several key topics, including:
• The concept of leadership and governance and their importance in higher education institutions.
• Strategic planning and the role of leadership in achieving the faculty vision and mission.
• Standards for selecting and appointing academic staff and assistant staff.
• Professional development and continuous training.
• Performance evaluation, motivation mechanisms, and accountability.
• The role of academic staff in ensuring the quality of education, scientific research, and community service.
The workshop concluded with a discussion of the main challenges facing the implementation of the standard and responses to participants’ inquiries.
Recommendations:
• Continuing to organize periodic training workshops to follow up on updates related to accreditation standards.
The workshop concluded at 1:00 PM.
