University President Inaugurates Advanced Labs at Faculty of Education under “Teacher Excellence Initiative”, (TEI)


   Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, inaugurated the developed laboratories at Faculty of Education as part of the “Teacher Excellence Initiative”, (TEI). This inauguration crowns a series of significant achievements by the faculty, which was selected as one of only five Egyptian universities in the first phase of the initiative, based on rigorous international standards.
   The ceremony was attended by Prof. Hatem Amin, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research; Prof. Al-Sayyed Al-Agouz, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ahmed Helal, Faculty Dean, vice deans, and a number of academic staff.
   Prof. Mohammed Hussain emphasized that the opening of these laboratories represents a qualitative leap in the approach of the university towards teacher preparation, reflecting the commitment of the university to global educational standards. He added that the initiative forms a cornerstone of the university vision to support national priorities, aiming to produce educators equipped with digital skills, critical thinking abilities, and expertise in inclusive classroom management that effectively integrates students with special needs.
   The new facilities feature the latest equipment and technologies designed to digitize the educational process and enhance student-teachers’ skills in line with the new curriculum and labor market requirements. The faculty also presented its sustainability plan, which includes establishing a permanent unit to monitor the initiative, updating curricula to incorporate critical thinking, digital education, and classroom management, implementing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies and Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs), and advancing special education programs to develop individualized education plans for students with special needs.
