Faculty of Education Discusses Activating Action Research and Supporting Teacher-Researchers in Cooperation with Gharbia Directorate of Education


   Faculty of Education held the third meeting to discuss the mechanisms of cooperation and activating educational research procedures, particularly action research, and supporting teacher-researchers to enhance the educational system. It was held in the meeting hall of the Faculty Council with the participation of the Communication and Teacher Support Unit at the Gharbia Directorate of the Ministry of Education, along with a group of professors from the faculty.
   The meeting was hosted by Faculty of Education administration, led by Prof. Ahmed Helal, Dean of the Faculty, in attendance of Mr. Nasser Hassan Ismail, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Gharbia Governorate, on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.

•    Dr. Mervat Fayed, Director of Communication and Support Unit for Teacher-Researchers
•    Mr. Mohamed Al-Hamshary, Head of the Parents and Teachers Board of Trustees at the Directorate
   The meeting was also attended by directors of several educational administrations, as well as representatives of researchers holding master’s and doctoral degrees from the educational directorate in Gharbia, to discuss the items of the Teachers Support Committee initiative and mechanisms for its implementation.
   During the meeting, Prof. Ahmed Helal reviewed the importance of the initiative and emphasized the need to ensure its success through all available means and resources at the faculty. He stressed the importance of supporting scientific publishing, providing courses and workshops to develop research skills, and addressing the challenges faced by teachers in classroom and school practices using scientific and action-based approaches. He also highlighted the importance of establishing a cooperation protocol and a distinguished partnership between Ministry of Education in Gharbia and Faculty of Education, as well as giving due attention to all groups, including persons with special needs, and training on activating inclusion in educational practices.
The meeting resulted in several assignments for the next meeting, most notably:
•    Preparing field-based problems identified by teachers and presenting them at the next meeting to determine the most urgent priorities.
•    Preparing for the implementation of training sessions and workshops on action research, to be delivered by expert professors from the faculty.
•    Providing a comprehensive explanation of the objectives, mechanisms, and procedures of the Egyptian Journal of Action and Interdisciplinary Research, as well as its criteria for accepting research papers.
