Under the patronage of Prof. Mohammed Hussain, President of Tanta University, and Prof. Ahmed Helal, Dean of Faculty of Education, and as part of the ongoing efforts to qualify for institutional accreditation, Quality Assurance Unit at the faculty organized a workshop titled:
“Institutional Accreditation Standards”
The workshop was held on Sunday, July 5th, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Training Hall (1).
The workshop was delivered by Prof. Sabah Sharshour, Director of Quality Assurance Center at Tanta University, with the participation of 76 academic staff and assistant staff. The workshop aimed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills related to quality standards and accreditation requirements in higher education institutions, while promoting positive attitudes toward applying quality concepts to support educational development and enhance institutional performance.
At the beginning of the workshop, Prof. Marwa Nabil Al-Ahwal, Director of Quality Assurance Unit at the faculty, welcomed Prof. Sabah Sharshour and the participating academic staff and assistant staff. She emphasized the importance of such training sessions in supporting the faculty efforts toward fulfilling institutional accreditation requirements.
The workshop addressed several key topics, including:
• The concept of quality and its terminology in the educational process.
• Types of accreditation.
• Institutional accreditation standards.
Recommendations:
• Emphasizing the importance of providing specialized training programs for staff involved in accreditation processes.
The workshop concluded with appreciation extended to all participants, along with an emphasis on the importance of continuing efforts and ongoing work to meet institutional accreditation standards, enhance performance quality, and achieve sustainable institutional excellence.
